Newton High School briefly went on lockdown Wednesday afternoon following a report of a student disturbance.
Police will dispatched to the disturbance.
The Newton School District said that the lockdown began around 2 p.m. and was lifted at 2:10 p.m.
Students were released as scheduled as part of Wednesday’s early release. The district said to its knowledge no weapons were involved.
