Obituary: Victoria Friesen

Victoria Ruth “Vicki” Friesen, 68, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at St. Francis in Wichita. She was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Newton to Dale and Betty (Benbrook) Koehn.

She was married to Ken Friesen, and he survives of the home. Vicki worked as a medical aide at Newton Presbyterian Manor in Newton for 33 years. She attended First Church of God in Newton and enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles. Vicki enjoyed learning Facebook and re-connecting with her friends and family online. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ken of Newton; son, Art and his wife Mona of Newton; grandchildren, Cory and his wife Abby Friesen, Kyle Javier and his wife Krystina, Alisha Bence, Codi Hinderliter and Erika Javier; brothers, David Koehn of Wichita, Cecil Koehn of Newton and sister, Peggy Eason of Newton; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Dec. 20 at First Church of God at Broadway and Fairview in Newton with Pastor Clint McBroom presiding. Burial will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory.

Memorials are suggested to the Kidney Foundation in care of Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
