We happily welcomed a sweet baby girl on Aug. 11, 1987—Miss Traci Mae Slater.
She attended schools in Newton.
She worked at various nursing homes, caring for the elderly—it was her passion.
She was a happy soul, greeting everyone with a big smile and infectious laugh.
She lived her life in the fast lane, enjoying her friends and family on the way. Among these were her parents, Janet and Bob Slater; her precious son, Carter; sister, Nicole; Uncle Rick Stanhope; Aunt Cathy Abrahams; Aunt Carin Stanhope; Aunt Norma Slater; Grandmother Joy Slater; and nephew, Gaven Stagner. She also leaves behind her cousins, Alex Sanchez and Maggie Sanchez, who adored her, and especially her good friends, Misty and Merissa.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Don and Pat Stanhope, Great Grandfather William Lambert, and Uncle Randy Abrahams.
