NEWTON—Tara Marie Rogers, 42, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Newton Medical Center in Newton.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1978, in Newton, the daughter of George and Rita Guhr Rogers, III. Tara was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. Through the years she had been a medical transcriptionist.

Tara’s brave battle against Lupus has ended. She will be remembered for her strength, perseverance and infinite love of children.

She is survived by her devoted children Adrian Rogers of Hesston and Alyssa Rogers of Newton; her parents Rita and George Rogers, III of Newton; brother Bret Rogers and his wife Erin; and her nieces Amelia and Evelyn Rogers all of Beaver Creek, Ohio.

The casket will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home. Graveside services and inurnment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19. at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.

A memorial has been established with the Lupus Foundation of America, and contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS, 67114.
