Obituary: Sam M. Zuercher

Sam M. Zuercher, passed away May 12, 2018, in San Diego.

He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Wichita and retired as director of Human Resources, Fiat Allis, North America, Inc. and The Hesston Corp., Hesston, and Carol Stream, Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, attended Wichita public schools and was a 1958 graduate of The University of Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Pamela, Mrs. Bret Soyez of Goessel; a son, Michael, (his wife Michele) of Minneapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Joan, his sister, Barbara Cooper, and his parents, Sam and Henrietta Zuercher. Sam was a member of LaJolla Presbyterian Church, La Jolla, Calif.
Services will be at Miramar National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for La Jolla Presbyterian Church, Sun House (youth program), 7715 Draper Ave., La Jolla, CA 92037 or the Kansas University Alumni Association, Lawrence, KS.
