Roy Eugene Hedrick, 89, passed away on Aug. 24, 2023, at home in Newton, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Roy was born July 13, 1934, in Newton. He lived most of his life in Newton.
He worked jobs in landscaping, was the local Culligan man, and owned a concrete business, but he was best known for his antique business of over 50 years.
Roy loved attending auctions and flea markets with his children, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren playing cards and checkers.
He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn (Ricky), Helen (Kerry), Anna (Shelly), Terry, Cindy (Dave), Dana (Dan); and sons, Royce (Rosie), Tracy, Stuart (Becky), Nathan (Carey); a brother, Larry, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, AC & Goldie Hedrick, and sister, Donna.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
