SEDGWICK—Rodney D. Smith, 55, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 at NMC Health, Newton.
He was born Sept. 30, 1965 at Halstead, Kansas to Homer D. and Hope L. (Schmidt) Smith.
He was a member of Sedgwick Mennonite Church, Sedgwick.
He was a lifelong Halstead-area resident, working as a truck driver for Jantz, Inc. and previously Farmers Co-Op, Halstead.
On May 1, 1988 he married Glenda Koehn at Inman; she survives of the home.
He is survived by sons: Marcelo Smith, Newton; Ryan Smith, of the home; daughter: Zoe Smith, of the home; brothers: Troy (Krista) Smith, Jason (Tamara) Smith, sisters: Melanie (Jason) Koehn, and Tricia (Brian) Holdeman all of Halstead.
Viewing will be 2-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Visitation will follow from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Countryside Christian School, Halstead.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead.
Burial will follow at Halstead Cemetery, Halstead, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to Sedgwick Mennonite Church building fund in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
