HALSTEAD—Phillip D. Adams, 80, died March 28, 2022 at Halstead, Kansas.
He was born Jan. 23, 1942 at Butler, Missouri to Roy and Mildred M. (Hinkle) Adams.
He retired as Harvey County Road and Bridge Superintendent.
He served Halstead in many various capacities, not all known, among these was Boy and Girl Scout leader, Charter member of the Halstead Community Foundation, Halstead Historical Society, Old Settlers Committee Great Race Chairman for 27 years and Halstead City Council.
On Jan. 2, 1961 he married Marilyn A. “Mary” Seibel at Newton. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include son: Patrick (Mary) Adams, Halstead; daughters: Barbara and Susan Adams, Halstead; brothers: Jake (Marge) Adams, Greensburg; Gary (Karen) Adams, Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren (Shelley Wilson, Michael (Alexis) Monarez, Rachel (Matt) Rutland, Katie Monarez and Adam Sigwing) and four great-grandchildren (Tyler Wilson, Arie Monarez, Zariayh Monarez, Arthur Rutland).
Friends may sign the book from 2-8 p.m. and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday April 4, 2022 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
