OBITUARY: Peggy Lee Wadsworth

Peggy Lee Wadsworth, 91, of Sedgwick passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at home. Visitation was on Friday, Nov. 11, and service was at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, both at Grace Fellowship, Sedgwick.

Burial followed at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. Peggy was born June 8, 1931, in Wichita to the late Georgia (Kessler) and Harold Jacobs. She graduated from Maize High School. She had been a cook for Sedgwick School District for 12 years. Peggy also owned Wadsworth Post Rock Christmas Tree Farm with her husband and managed the gift shop there for many years.

On Dec. 14, 1948, she married Richard “Vern” Wadsworth in Wichita. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her son, Tim Wadsworth.

She is survived by daughters Kristina Mitchem and husband Randy of Sedgwick,  Colleen Blattner and husband Randy of Rozel, and Amy Wells and husband Aaron of Augusta; grandchildren Kyla McAuliffe (Chris), Russ Wadsworth, Megan RoTramel (Jason), Brian Mitchem (Eri), Betsy Cagna (Bob), Ethan Blattner, Abby Moore (Russ), Caitlyn Cox (Ryan), Bridgett Kippes (Jason), Gretchen Thurau (Travis), Keely Freking (Adam), Chase Wells and Keira Wells; step-grandchildren Cory Yingling and Kim Harmon; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
