Paul R. Burckhart, 88, of Hesston, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1933, in Orrville, Ohio, the son of Elias K. and Mable (Ressler) Burckhart.
Paul graduated from Orrville High School in Orrville, Ohio.
In 1960, he started his own business named Paul’s Inc., where he worked in the heating, air conditioning and plumbing services.
He was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church.
Paul was united in marriage to Marna Lou Gaeddert on March 26, 1955, in Buhler. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his four children, Sheryl (Wes) Miller of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Kristen (Mark) Mayhue of North Newton, Kay (Dave) Swartzendruber of Lakewood, Colo., and Phil (Joanne) Burckhart of Buhler; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Powers of Wooster, Ohio and Mary (Bill) Hoover of Orrville, Ohio.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Marilyn Burckhart; and granddaughter, Sara Swartzendruber.
Private family burial will take place at Hesston Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 1p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, at Hesston Mennonite Church with family greeting friends following the service.
