OBITUARY: Patricia Wulff

SEDGWICK—Patricia Jean Wulff, age 71, went to be with the Lord April 6, 2021 at her home in Sedgwick, Kansas. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on Oct. 24, 1949 and adopted into the family of Bonnie Jean (Benjamin) and Byron Alderson Hemphill of Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Patricia grew up and attended school in Bonner Springs and Basehor, Kansas, graduating from Basehor High School in 1967. During those growing up years, the family was expanded by an older brother Ronald and a younger sister Donna joining Patricia through adoption.

Patricia attended and graduated from Calvary University in Kansas City, Missouri where she earned a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. In the spring of 1969 while on chorale tour Patricia was introduced to Paul E. Wulff (from Rose Hill, Kansas). This introduction became Love and on June 11, 1971, Paul and Patricia were married.

Upon graduation from Calvary University in the spring of 1972, Paul and Patricia began a career of ministry to churches and communities in Iowa, Kansas, California, and Missouri. Patricia also pursued interests in sewing, singing, teaching and other domestic pursuits. Professionally she taught in public and private schools in all the states mentioned as well as homeschooling her children for extended periods of time.

Her pursuits and interests were cut short as her Frontal Temporal Dementia took over and began to manifest itself in debilitating inroads over the last 10 years.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Paul E. Wulff of Sedgwick; three children: Andrew and (Melissa) Wulff of Huntsville, Alabama, (Chris) and Aimee Lucas of Lees Summit, Missouri, and (Matt) and Anita Tillson of McKinney, Texas. Nine grandchildren also survive: Katreille, Whitney, Jared, Claire, and Zachery Wulff, Benjamin Lucas, Samantha, Addison, and Abbigail Tillson. Also surviving Patricia is her brother Ronnie and family of Denver, Colorado and sister Donna and family of Azusa, California.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. April 24 at Pleasant Valley Church, Sedgwick. All are invited! Memorials can be given to Gideons International in her honor as well. A special thank you to Rivercross Hospice for their care over the last three-plus years!
