Neva S. Orr, 72, died March 9, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born July 21, 1950, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Jasper “Jack” and Gertrude L. (Klausmeyer) Anderson. On Aug. 14, 1976, she married Preston Orr at Benton, and he survives of the home.
Neva attended Grace Community Church in Newton and worked as a legal secretary for nearly 10 years before joining AGCO in Hesston in the print shop, where she retired.
She enjoyed her neighborhood Bible study, playing the piano and organ and could often be found reading. Her greatest joy was her family, and she looked forward to spending time with her husband, kids, granddaughter and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Anderson.
Neva is survived by her husband, Preston of the home; daughter, Sarah Orr; son, Nathan Orr; brother, James Anderson; and two sisters, Lucille Vinson and Brenda Thomas. She also is survived by her granddaughter, Brooklinn.
A memorial service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Grace Community Church in the Fireside Room with Pastor Jay Lewis officiating. Visitation was Monday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Burial was in the Hesston City Cemetery.
