Martin J. Zimmerman, 64, of Newton entered his heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021.
Martin was born Nov. 22, 1957, the son of Simon and Audrey (Zodrow) Zimmerman in Newton. He graduated from Newton High School in 1976 and went on to be an Eagle Scout master for several years.
Martin is survived by his mother, Audrey Zimmerman; brother Sam (Stef) Zimmerman; sisters Sandy Phenneger and Nancy Hiebert, both of Newton; sister Annette (Chuck) Knauss from Hesston; daughter Kristy Hermstein (Jeremy Crites); and grandson Austin and granddaughter Hannah, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Martin was proceeded in death by his father Simon Zimmerman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. both at Petersen Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
