BURRTON—Lynelle C. Fernandez, 53, passed away Feb. 9, 2022, at her home in Burrton. She was born Jan. 20, 1969, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Robert and Elma Daniel Easter.
She graduated from Hutchinson Community College with her RN, working as a nurse at Mt Hope Nursing Center, Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Oncology, Hutchinson Clinic Oncology, a hospice nurse for Hospice Care of Kansas, a mental health nurse for Prairie View, and a mental health nurse for Sedgwick County ComCare. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Burrton and was the starting member of Burrton Boot. She also worked as a jewelry consultant.
She married Jorge Fernandez on Dec. 12, 1987. He survives.
Other survivors include her children; Jordan (Abbie) Fernandez, Burrton, Maria (Julian) Fernandez, Wichita, and Brady (Breanna) Fernandez, Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, James Easter, Burrton; sisters Debra Riead, Burrton, Benjaneen Easter, Hutchinson, and Jody Rivers, Burrton; and grandchildren, Julian, Joseph, Christian, and Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jermaine and Alexandra Fernandez; and a brother, Robert Easter.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Inman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at First Christian Church, Burrton. Funeral services will be live streamed on Inman Funeral Home’s Facebook Page. Burial will follow at the Burrton Cemetery.
