Obituary: Leslie L. Davis

Leslie L. Davis, 75, died January 3, 2018 at St. Louis, Missouri. He was born February 20, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles O. Davis and Elizabeth (Franz) Davis.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for American Water Company retiring after 37 years of service.

Leslie enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time outside in nature. He looked forward to his Friday night socializing with his work friends and enjoyed beer and swapping stories. In his younger years Leslie was a member of a band with his brothers where he played steel, base and acoustic guitar.

He is survived by his daughters: Connie Hultman of Newton, Kansas and Brenda Davis of Linwood, Kansas; son: Rick Davis of Louisville, Kentucky and brother: James Davis of St. Peter’s Missouri. Leslie is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers George and Leo Davis and an infant daughter.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clint McBroom presiding. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Caring Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
