Leroy “Sam” Banman, 84, of Hesston died Monday, June 6, 2016, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1931, in Marion County, the son of Samuel J. and Selma Schmidt Banman.
Survivors include Mary Ann Bartel of Alberta, Canada, Kermit “Sam” and Dolores Banman of Hesston, Sheryl and Jim Kelso of Dalhart, Texas, Glenda and Steve Cardwell of Ontario, Canada, Max and Tara Miller of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, in the chapel of Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Private family inurnment will be in the Walton Cemetery in Walton.
A memorial has been established with Mennonite Central Committee; contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
