HALSTEAD—Larry N. Fitch, 74, died Monday May 16, 2022, at his residence. He was born Aug. 18, 1947, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton to Willis E. Fitch and Ella M. (Schroeder) Fitch.
Larry served in the U.S Army during Vietnam and was a member of the local VFW. He was a draftsman by trade, working for Fullvision, Prestressed Concrete and Cessna. He later retired as a detention deputy for the Harvey County Correctional Facility.
Larry enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, drinking coffee and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelly Klipple, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Wendi Hillis, Wichita; sister Carolyn (Stan) Schmidt, Newton and four grandchildren, Payton, Ashley, Justis and Skylar. He was proceeded in death by an infant sister Willa Jean, along with his parents.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with Rev. Gary Bell officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given to Cottonwood Acres, Halstead, Kansas (Halstead Housing Authority) in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
