Larry R. Becker, 78, of Sedgwick passed away on May 19, 2023, at home in his room. Larry was born Aug. 29, 1944, in McAllister, Oklahoma, to Jacob and Maxine Becker. He came to Derby Kansas in 1965 where he went to work at Harmon Machine CO., where he met his future wife, Carol Leopold. They got married on Aug. 6, 1966, and were married 56 years.
Becker is survived by Carol, his three children, Deanna, Russell and Larry D., as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He worked at Cessna for 22 years and then at Boeing for 15 years then Bradbury Co., in Moundridge, Kansas, for 12 years.
Larry and his wife have been selling fireworks for over 55 years, and they have been selling fireworks in front of their house in Sedgwick, Kansas, for more than 37 years. He was known in Sedgwick, Kansas, as the Fireworks Cowboy.
The memorial will be held at Prairie Rose Opera House, 15231 S. W. Parallel Street, Benton Kansas, on Sunday, June 25, at 3 p.m.
