Julian Ray Wall, 74, of Newton, died Nov. 23, 2020, in Wichita.
He was born Oct. 6, 1946, in Coffeyville to Eldon Ray Wall and Esther Werner. His stepfather is Russel Werner.
He married Sandy Havens on May 4, 1968, in Newton.
He was service manager at Karst Motors and Brenneman’s Body Shop for 32 years. After retirement, he worked at Kwik Shop for three years. He served six years in the Kansas National Guard, Company C, 1st Battalion, 137th Infantry, 69th Infantry Brigade. He served two years in active service.
Julian lived in Newton for 74 years and loved driving his Lincoln Continental, watching NASCAR races, target shooting with his brother-in-law, Wayne Partridge, and researching family histories with his sister Karen Wall.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Wall of the home; daughter, Nancy and husband Steve Goddard; grandchildren, Sydney Goddard and Garrett Goddard; siblings, Jan Billings of Morrison, Colo., Karen and Jerry Wall of Newton, and Mary Werner of Wichita; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Havens) and Otto Lehrman of Westcliffe, Colo., Helen (Havens) and Wayne Partridge of Newton, and Jo Beth (Havens) and Phillip Wood of Wichita; brothers-in-law, Larry Havens and wife Judy of California, Harold and Dawn Havens of Newton, Virgil and the late Donna Havens of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters-in-law Marilyn (Havens) and Robert Brickell, Shirley (Havens) George, Clyde and Shirley Havens, and Brenda (Havens) and Rick Porter; his parents, Eldon Wall and Esther Werner; brother-in-law Vernon Havens of Colorado; and stepfather Russel Werner.
There will be a private family gathering.
