BURRTON—Jewell Ann Rayl, 63, died, Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Joplin, Missouri.
She was born April 30, 1956 at Hutchinson, KS to Harold E. and Reta F. (Edwards) Grandon and was a lifelong Burrton resident and was a member of Burrton United Methodist Church. She was employed by PAMICO as a secretary and she also managed Brigadoon for the Burrton Housing Authority. In addition to her jobs she served the Burrton community as an E.M.T. for over 24 years, Girl Scout Leader and Hunter Safety Instructor. She was also a member of the Lollygaggers Motorcycle Club and the Old Crows Club.
On October 17, 1981 she married George R. Rayl at Burrton, he survives.
Other survivors include daughters: Denise Rankin and Tonya Evans, both of Mt. Hope; brother: Ed (Nonie) Grandon, Valley Center; sisters: Janet Grandon, Wichita; Sandra (Mark) Hinkle, Colwich; and five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Jewell’s Life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Burrton United Methodist Church.
