Jereline Tackett

Jereline Tackett, 81, died Oct. 26, 2021, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. She was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Tirmonton, Utah, to Maynard and Laverne (Childs) Summers. On Nov. 28, 1963, she married Darryl Tackett at Elko, Nev., and he survives of the home.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Darryl and Jereline were sealed in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. She enjoyed spending time crocheting and loved to travel. She and her husband traveled almost all of the Western United States in their camper and especially enjoyed Yellowstone National Park and seeing the Giant Redwoods in California. They belonged to a camping club that regularly met at Marion Reservoir.

The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Newton Ward, with Bishop Brian Kynaston Conducing.

Burial will be in the Mound Township Cemetery in rural Moundridge.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
