Glenda Lynn Carpenter, daughter of Walter and Glendora Carpenter, was born Dec. 8, 1954, in Hutchinson, and died Jan. 27, 2023, in El Dorado.
She is survived by her brothers, Wayne Carpenter and Jerry (Char) Carpenter of Newton and Donald Carpenter of South Hutchinson; sisters, Loretta Carpenter of McPherson and Geraldine (Steve) Barden of Newton; and nephews, Josh (Becky) Barden of Emporia, Joey Barden of Newton, and Tony Carpenter and Josh Carpenter of Hutchinson.
Glenda worked in food service for many years.
She was a client at Flinthills Services.
Glenda enjoyed going on trips, car rides, getting soft drinks, shopping and visiting family. She enjoyed and always gave friends excellent back rubs.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Glendora Carpenter, and nephew, Matthew Barden.
Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Petersen Funeral Home. A graveside service was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flint Hills Services or Interim Hospice and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
