NEWTON—Gertrude Lanore Taylor was born on July 2, 1933, in Cotter, Ark. She died on April 21, 2021, in Newton, at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett “Dutch” Taylor, daughter, Vicky Hambek, her parents, Clifford Fleming, Dorthea “Dot” Fleming and siblings, Mildred “Midge” Vogt and Leroy “Buddy” Fleming.
She is survived by her sister, Junita Huff of Little Rock Ark., three children, Robert Lee Taylor, Quintin Shawn Taylor and Kent Stephen Taylor along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Trudy was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 2, 1947, at the age of 10. She spent the next 77 years helping others come to an accurate understanding of the Bible truths and the promises it holds out to all mankind in the very near future. She enjoyed playing the piano with her children and grandchildren, singing, gardening, living in the country and playing cards.
