Gerelene “Jeri” Mills, 84, of Clinton, Arkansas was born on August 18, 1936 to the late Mac and Lona (Wagers) Wade in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 14, 2020 in Marshall. Jeri was a well loved and highly respected member of our community. She was an accountant at Bone’s Thriftway for 35 years. In addition to her professional life, she was a foster mother and lifeline to more than forty children through out the years.
Jeri is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Bill Mills, one sister, Delilah Kinkaid, one brother-in-law, Larry Thompson and one grandson, Race Weldon Barnhouse.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Melissa Tyler (Chad) of Marshall, Arkansas, Michael Mann of Newton, Kansas, Treasa Swartz of Russellville, Arkansas, Marie Fain of Newton, Kansas, her grandchildren; Ciara Evans (Tyler) of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Emily Barnhouse (David) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Dylan Treece of Vilonia, Arkansas, Charlie Tyler of Marshall, Arkansas, Kaleb Tyler, of Marshall, Arkansas, Dusty Swartz of Russellville, Arkansas, Makayla Mann of Newton, Kansas, Michael Mann, Jr. of Newton, Kansas, Tonya Aramburo of Clinton, Arkansas, Matthew Robinson of Searcy, Arkansas, her great grandchildren; Robbie, Azariah, Tyona, Maddie, Bella, GiGi, two sisters; Mollie Jack Thompson (Larry, deceased) of Newton, Kansas, Orilla Maddox (Art) of Nixa, Missouri, her favorite niece, Jeanie (Wayne) of Clinton, Arkansas, and an honorable mention is extended to best friend of over 50 years, Mary Lou Lee of Clinton, Arkansas, along with other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to express special gratitude to family and staff of Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas and to the family and staff of Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Quattlebaum Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Gordon Lemings officiating. The family respectfully requests that each attendee provide and wear their own face covering and maintain social distancing.
