Obituary: Everett R. Livesay

Everett R. Livesay, 66, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Harry Hyness Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Everett was born on Sept. 22, 1951, in Miami, Okla., to Richard and Josephine (Jackson) Livesay.

Everett married Martha Smith in Baxter Springs on July 2, 1971. After 40 years of marriage, she passed away on Feb. 20, 2012.

Everett later married Marilyn Schroth. They were married for four years prior to his passing.

Everett was a draftsman and was employed by Pre-Stress Concrete of Newton at the time of his death.

Everett was a very thoughtful man who loved to camp, fish and play golf. He loved his family and was a loving husband. He was a member of Grace Community Church of Newton.

He is survived by his wife: Marilyn Livesay; children: Doug and Sarah Livesay, and Tim and Melissa Livesay; sister Paula Hawkins; grandchildren Caden, Tegan and Jensen Livesay; and stepsons Zach and Dusty Alton.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Alice Livesay; and parents Richard and Josephine Livesay.

A memorial service has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel of Newton. There will not be a public visitation. An inurnment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery of Newton.
