Eldon D. Boeckner, 68, of Halstead, passed away Jan. 22, 2021, in Springfield, Mo. He was born May 26, 1952, in Goessel, the son of Wilbur and Dorothy (Giesbrecht) Boeckner.
Eldon attended Moundridge High School.
He was a farmer in Hartley, Texas, for many years.
Eldon was a member of Sedgwick Mennonite Church Congregation, Sedgwick, Kan.
He was married to Martha Hostetler on Nov. 17, 1972.
Survivors include his son, Jeremy (Karlita) Boeckner of Harvard, Idaho; daughter, Angela (Neal) Brubaker of Loudonville, Ohio; brother, Gary (Karen) Boeckner of Hesston; sisters, Phyllis (Charles) Nightengale of Scott City, and Bonnie (Tim) Wiggers of Halstead; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Heidi Jill Boeckner.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Hesston. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Friends could call from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Moundridge Funeral Home. Family greeted friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the church.
