Edd D. Wallace, 73, died June 30, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born July 17, 1949, in Baxter Springs to Raymond and Virginia (Taylor) Wallace. On Nov. 4, 1972, he married Marilyn K. Reber in Newton, and she survives of the home.
Edd served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton. He graduated from Wichita State University and retired as an American Family Insurance agent in Newton.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home; sons, Chad (Tara) Wallace and Jeremy (Libby) Wallace; and three brothers, Ernie, Roy and Dick Wallace. He also is survived by three grandchildren.

A public visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Petersen Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service for close friends and family will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ray Nicodemus officiating. A private family interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors and left with Petersen Funeral Home.
