Dustin Patterson, 37, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 15, 1978, in Wichita to Lonnie and the late Jeannie (Holland) Patterson. Dustin grew up in Newton and recently moved to Kansas City. He attended Newton High School. Dustin was an outgoing person with many friends, and he looked forward to spending time with his loving family and friends.
Dustin is survived by his father Lonnie Patterson, sister Wendi and her husband Vincent Holeman, nephews Jeremiah and Arron Holeman, niece Lesha Holeman, aunt and uncle Annie and Harold Sympson, cousins Jeremy Bert Sympson and Harold Sympson Jr., and uncles Lecil and Carl Holland all of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jeannie.
A gathering and time of sharing and reflection will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends. A short graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials are suggested to the family to help offset funeral expenses in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
