BURRTON—Duane E. Regier, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1949 at Newton to Edwin R. and Evelyn (Stutzman) Regier.
He was a lifelong Burrton area resident and lifetime member of First Mennonite Church, Halstead, serving as an usher and on the Social Committee.
He was a farmer/stockman and owner of Pardu Farm, rural Burrton.
He served on the boards of Farmers Co-Op, Halstead, Kansas, Equus Beds Groundwater Management District, Harvey County Drainage Board and was a member of the Kansas Livestock Association.
He also served in the U.S. Army as a medic.
On Feb. 10, 1990 he married Pauline V. (Castleberry) Angle at First Mennonite Church, Halstead. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include, daughters: Anna (Eric) Vishria, Northern California; Verna Regier, and Katie (Quinn) Holub, all of Austin, Texas; step-sons: Eldon Angle, Wichita; Andre’ (Robinette) Angle, Franklin, Indiana; step-daughter: Robin Hoss, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Regier and sister, Dianna Harms.
Masks are required for all the following gatherings.
Viewing will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. The family will greet friends from 6:30-8 p.m.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 at Halstead Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, Halstead. Pastor Stephen Wilcox will officiate.
