Donna Jean (Sabo) Entz went to her heavenly home on June 27, 2023, at Kidron Bethel Home in North Newton.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1936, in Minot, North Dakota, to Ingvald P. and Hazel Mae Sabo.
She met a fine young soldier, Gene Entz, in Port Orchard. They got married on Jan. 22, 1954, at Zion Lutheran Church, Newton.
She worked as a CNA at Axtell Christian Hospital, Halstead Hospital and Newton Medical Center. She was very active in VFW Aux at Newton Post 971.
Donna had a family of four beautiful daughters, Jacquie Oswald, Newton, Michelle (Kent) Pfautz, Hesston, Shannon (Curtis) Music, Overbrook, and Marishawn (Jerry) Schmidt, Hillsboro.
She has six grandsons, six granddaughters and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Gene Entz, husband; parents Ingvald and Hazel Sabo; sister Marjorie Endsley; brother Archie Sabo; and son-in-laws Randy (Pete) Petersen and Richard Oswald.
Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 30, at Petersen Family Funeral Home front foyer. Service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Hesston Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 West Randall, Hesston, with the Rev. Brad Burkholder officiating. Burial took place at Stoehr Cemetery, Elmdale, following the service.
Memorials may be made out to Kidron Bethel Home and left in care of Petersen Family Funeral Home.
