Delores Enda Peterson, 85, passed away Sept. 4, 2021, in Newton.
She was born May 11, 1936, in Goessel to Walter J. and Anna (Heibert) Schmidt.
Delores is survived by her son, Kevin (Cheryl) Cook; daughter, Sandy (John) Cyre; stepdaughter, Jill Woolwine; brother, Leroy (Nancy) Schmidt; and sister, Gladys (Gene) Downen. She has 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Larry Cook, John Harvey, and James Peterson; daughter, Anna Warnock; and sister, Ruth Ann Schmidt.
Delores was a member of the Goessel Mennonite Church and a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. She spent many years as a rancher and horse trainer.
Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
