HALSTEAD—Colleen J. Loyles, 71, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at NMC Health, Newton.
She was born April 4, 1952, at Florence to Perry L. and Irene A. (Ducommun) Ratzloff.
She was a Halstead resident since 1991, and she was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead. She worked as a medical records technician at Friendly Acres and retired from Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.
On May 15, 1970, she married Franklin D. Loyles. The marriage was dissolved in 1984.
She is survived by her sons, Chad (June Malin) Loyles, Newton, and Brian (Sonia) Loyles, Godley, Texas; daughters, Heidi (Danny) Herbrich, Spring, Texas, and Dalene (Nicholas) Mesecher, Halstead; brothers, Curtis Ratzloff and Victor (Margo Yates) Ratzloff, all of Marion; sisters, Marlys (Tom) Plett, Hillsboro, D’Elda (Vaughn) Juhnke, Moundridge, and Trudy (Lindley) Slifer, Marion; and four grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her brothers, Stuart, Lloyd and Wally Ratzloff.
Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead, with Ministers Raleigh Koehn, Stanton Smith and Marlin Unruh officiating.
Interment will follow the lunch at 2:30 p.m. at Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery, Burns.
Memorials may be given to Moundridge Manor in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
