OBITUARY: Brian Matthew Alfaro

Brian Matthew Alfaro from Andover was born Aug. 24, 1981.

He passed away on April 3, 2023, in his home surrounded by family. Brian graduated from Hesston High School. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Tenae Stucky, on July 14, 2000.

They have two children, son Brent and daughter Kenzie. He has been the park superintendent of Augusta for many years.

In his youth, he was baptized and consecrated into the family of God. He exemplified his faith throughout his life in a deep commitment of love for his family and others and with joy, exuberance and orneriness in living life.

He is survived by his wife, Tenae; son Breant; daughter Kenzie; paternal parents Jeff and Renee Alfaro; paternal grandfather Trini Alfaro; maternal mother-in-law Marcia Pat Stucky; siblings Scot (Tera) Alfaro, Eric (Nissa) Alfaro and Kristen Alfaro; siblings-in-law Angela Tipton, Shelese (Jason) Newmark and Matt (Tera) Stucky; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is Beloved Alfaro; paternal grandmother Bert Alfaro; maternal grandparents Jerry and Bev Urban; and father-in-law John Elmer Stucky.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, Wichita. Internment is at White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita.

Memorials have been established with All Together Playground for Special Needs, c/o Central Kansas Community Foundation, 301 N. Main St., No. 200, Newton, KS 67114. It’s a special project dear to Brian’s heart for Slate Creek Elementary School in Newton. Memorials also are established with Traditions Health, 3221 N. Toben St. No. 100, Wichita, KS 67226.
