Bobby (Bob) Niblett, 89, went peacefully home to his Lord and Savior, whom he served faithfully, on Aug. 29, 2023
He served many years as a Deacon in the Baptist church but faithfully attended the Legacy Worship Center (Westside Freewill Baptist) in Wichita, Kansas, for the last 17 years. Bob was dearly loved by his family, and he loved them.
Bob is survived by his wife, Geraldine of the home; sons, Bobby G and Allyson Niblett Jr., Jerry and Rebecca Niblett; daughter, Lisa and Steve Haggard; brothers, Jim and Bill Slaughter; and sister, Linda Trice. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cole and Emma (Essary) Niblett; daughter, LaVonna Niblett; sister, Betty Benge; and brothers, Coy and Jack Niblett.
A graveside committal service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, Kansas. Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Petersen Family Funeral Home in Newton, Kansas.
Memorial contributions can be made out to Legacy Worship Center and left in care of Petersen Family Funeral Home.
