Billie M. Vetter passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She had been a resident there for the last seven years.
Billie was born on Aug. 6, 1936, to Harry and Agnes Hinton in Newton. She lived in Sedgwick and graduated from Sedgwick High School in 1954.
On Aug. 28, 1954, Billie married Gerald F. Vetter at St Mary’s Church, Newton.
She is survived by three children, Mark (Ann) Vetter, Gerald R (Deanna) Vetter and Kimberly Fiessinger, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Billie enjoyed her family, gardening and making peppernuts at Christmas.
Visitation was on Thursday, July 27, at Peterson Family Funeral Chapel. A graveside service was at 12:30 p.m. July 27 at St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Newton, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made out to Good Shepherd Hospice and left in care of Petersen Family Funeral Home.
