Arlie Virgil Funk went to meet his Lord on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020.
He was born on Jan. 12, 1923, in Wolf Point, Mont., to Adolf and Anna (Enns) Funk, and they preceded him in death. Arlie also was preceded in death by his wife Aldine (Pankratz) Funk, brothers Loyal Funk, Oregon, Marvin Funk, Ottawa, and sisters Grace Weber, Wichita, and Alice Funk, Buhler.
Arlie is survived by four children, a daughter Sharon and (Kevin) Hudson of Newton, and three sons, Dwight and (Sharon) Funk of Park City, Dale and (Kay) Funk of Newton, and Terry and (Robin) Funk of Newton. He also is survived by eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and siblings Lavern Funk of Hillsboro and Viola Schultz of Buhler.
A come-and-go memorial service will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, held Sunday, in the Family Life Center at the First Church of God, 620 Fairview, Newton.
