NEWTON—Angel Gabriel Silveyra, 20, died Sunday. Aug. 15, 2021, in Newton.
He was born on December 20, 2000 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Cesar Silveyra and Sonia Martinez.
Angel was raised in Newton, graduating from Newton High School in 2019. While in high school, he played on the Newton Railers football team.
Angel had been working in Burrton at Southwest & Associates Inc. He enjoyed spending time in the gym working out.
Along with his parents who live in Newton, Angel is survived by two brothers Cesar Silveyra, Jr. of Mexico and Ian Alexander Verduczo of Newton; and maternal grandparents Elvira Bojorguez and Ramon Arzola of Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carmen and Jesus Sileyra.
The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
