Why are you running?
Since moving to Burrton, my desire to become involved in my community has naturally increased. I believe participation is the best way to have a voice.
What qualifies you for this position?
I attended college working toward a business degree. I have 20 years of management experience in respect to personnel, finances, operations, and public relations.
What do you hope to accomplish if elected?
I plan to continue to work with the current council and mayor to discover ways to bring in more families to keep our school and current businesses viable while improving roads and being fiscally responsible.
What do you see as the biggest need for Burrton?
The biggest need for Burrton is upgrading our infrastructure including quality roads, water, sewer, and gas so they are available for our future generations along with affordable housing and competitive jobs.
What opportunities do you think Burrton has in the next few years?
Growth for families! I feel we can grow as a small community. We can work toward developing more ways to get the community involved and have pride in our town. That will increase as we work through completing the goals set before us.
Do you have an idea for the city that hasn’t been discussed or gotten too little attention?
I believe housing in Burrton needs more attention. Use of land programs, absent landlords responsibilities, vacant housing, lot and abandoned house maintenance need to be addressed.
