The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a man was found at Harvey County East Park on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to East Park around 12:45 p.m. The body was found on park property west of North East Lake Road near Northeast 12th Street.
The body was discovered and reported by passersby in the park. The body was found on the ground of a dried-out portion of the lake bed.
Neither the identity of the individual nor the cause of death have been identified.
The incident remains under investigation. Drivers are asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
