Bryleigh Lange had a eureka moment Wednesday after spotting stained glass online.
The 6-year-old and her older brothers, Keldon, 15, and Tigean, 15, recreated the image with chalk in their driveway with the additional message to greet Hesston Elementary School teachers during their drive-by parade that evening. The chalk art included the message of “We Love Hesston.”
“Our teachers, that was the last time we could see them,” Bryleigh said.
The teachers honked as they went past their students’ homes.
Bryleigh’s mother, Tonia, said her daughter loved to draw on the driveway. She figured her daughter had between 50-60 colors of chalk. Bryleigh put the number closer to 80.
Bryleigh and her brothers mapped out the design, and her brothers and parents helped fill it in.
“It was fun to do it,” Bryleigh said. “It took a long time.”
