Harvey County confirms 12 new cases of COVID-19

The Harvey County Health Department has confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19 in Harvey County.

Of the new cases two are under investigation for the source of the exposure. One source is unknown, three are in family units of active cases and six are listed as close contacts of active cases. The new cases include three males in their twenties, a male in his 30s, one in his 40s and one in his 50s.

There are two females in their 30s, three in their 40s and one in her teens.

All of the above individuals are in home isolation. The Health Department will regularly monitor the health of the individuals, as well as follow up on all close contacts.

Harvey County has had 175 COVID-19 cases to date, including 169 confirmed and six probable cases. There are 34 known active cases in Harvey County. One individual remains hospitalized.

Since last Monday 236 tests have been conducted in Harvey County yielding 35 positive cases

There have been 3,366 tests for COVID-19 conducted in Harvey County.

As of Monday, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment confirmed 28,876 cases of COVID-19 in the state to date. The KDHE reported 301,839 completed tests in Kansas.
