The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office will host a drug take back day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Harvey County Law Enforcement Center, 120 E Seventh St.
Residents are invited to stop by and drop off any old prescription drugs.
“It’s free, we don’t ask questions, nothin’,” the release from the sheriff’s department said.
The event is to help prevent prescriptions from being stolen or misused.
According to the sheriff’s department, 937,443 pounds of unwanted prescription medications were taken nationwide during the drug take back day in April.
A release from the US District Attorney’s office of Kansas also states that vapes and cartridges will be accepted at drop off locations throughout Kansas.
