County offers online vaccination scheduling

For Harvey County Now

The Harvey County Health Department has begun scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments for individuals eligible in Phases Three and Four of the State of Kansas’ COVID-19 Vaccine Prioritization.

Phases Three and Four can include people 16-to-64 years old with severe or other medical risks, other critical workers not outlined in Phase Two, and anyone in Phases One and Two that has not yet received a vaccination.

Individuals in those criteria groups can schedule an appointment by completing the online form at www.harveycounty.com/COVID19vaccineappointment. The appointment form requires a name, address, date of birth, email address and phone number.

Those without internet or email access can call 316-836-4990 Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist with scheduling an appointment.

The Health Department will be serving those 18 years old and older with Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Pfizer-BioNTech, which has received emergency use authorization for 16 and 17 year olds from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, has not yet been distributed to the Health Department.

Other health providers in-and-around Harvey County at times also receive distributions of COVID-19 vaccine directly from the state or federal governments, and those providers can also administer vaccinations for individuals in any of the State’s first four phases. The Health Department encourages individuals to schedule a vaccination appointment with any of its local health partners.

Additional local information on COVID-19 vaccine can be found at www.harveycounty.com/COVID19vaccine.
