Active COVID-19 cases continue to slightly decrease

COVID-19 cases have now dropped below 100 according to County numbers.

Harvey County saw a slight decline in COVID-19 cases for the fourth week in a row.

The county saw 88 new cases and has a total of 100 active cases. That’s eight fewer active cases than last week.

Of the new cases, 34 percent involved those under 20 years of age.

The county saw four new hospitalizations, and 12 residents in total are hospitalized for COVID-19.

There were 19 breakthrough cases of COVID-19 among vaccinated people; 78.5 percent of this week’s cases were with the unvaccinated.

Sixty-four percent of eligible residents have received one vaccine, and 58 percent of eligible residents are totally vaccinated. Forty-nine percent of all residents are completely vaccinated.
