Ten miles a challenge loaded for bear

We were somewhere past 6,000 feet on an ascent to the Grinnell Glacier in Montana when an excited fellow descending the trail and speaking broken English advised, “There is a bear up the trail a little ways.” He followed up by saying that he had captured several photos and it was a neat experience. At least, I think that’s what he said. His strong accent,
