Obituary: Derrick Craig Unruh

BURRTON—Derrick Craig Unruh entered eternity on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born Sept. 10, 1959, in Newton to Chester Leroy and Carol Lee (Fast) Unruh.

He was a lifelong Burrton resident, a 1977 graduate of Burrton High School and a 1982 graduate of Bob Jones University, Greenville S.C.

He was a 31-year employee of Fed Ex delivering to Larned and the surrounding area since 2002.

He was a member of Faith Community Bible Church in Burrton, a member of USD 369 Burrton School Board since June 2004 and the Burrton Community Development Committee.

On June 9, 1984, he married Raenita G. Bocook at South Point, Ohio. She survives.

Other survivors include daughters Kristin Unruh and Kayla (Aaron) Meisenheimer, both of Hutchinson; mother Carol Unruh, Burrton; brothers Darian (Carol) Unruh, Indianapolis, and Duane (Cindy) Unruh, Greenville, S.C.; and sisters Debbie (Stanley) Waller and Darla Gaeddert, Hutchinson.

Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, was in charge of arrangements. Burial was at the Burrton Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to USD 369 Burrton schools in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
