LeRoy Reimer

HESSTON—LeRoy James Reimer, 86, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, in Hesston.

He was born Aug. 29, 1930, in Goessel and graduated from Goessel High School. LeRoy served in 1W service at Topeka State Mental Hospital. He married Janice Molzen of Arkansas City in January 1955.

This marriage was blessed with four boys, Tim, Tom, James and John.

The majority of LeRoy’s career was spent in plumbing, heating and air conditioning. He owned Reimer Plumbing and Heating for 20-plus years, retiring in the early 1990s. After retirement, LeRoy enjoyed woodworking and built many beautiful things for his family and friends. In his later years, LeRoy enjoyed following his grandkids’ activities, traveling with Janice and going to coffee with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janice of the home; son, Tim and wife Annie of Hesston; son, Tom and wife Gretchen of Hesston; son, James and wife Piper of Prairie Village; and son, John and wife Cindy of Hesston. LeRoy and Janice have eight grandchildren. He also is survived by one sister, Helen Dyck of West Plains, Mo.

Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 23, at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston. A private family graveside service will precede the visitation. The celebration service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Kingdom Life Ministries.

Memorials are suggested for Haiti Lifeline Ministries in care of Petersen Funeral Home in Newton or Kingdom Life Ministries.
