Fair parade results released

From the Harvey County Fair

The results for the judging of the Harvey County Fair parade have been released.

The grand prize winner was Trinity Heights United Methodist Church which also one first prize in the Adult Clubs and Organizations category.

The Newton Rotary Club took second place and the VFW Auxiliary Color Guard took third place.

For the commercial category of floats, CaNewton Boat Rentals, TiKi Boat Float, took first, the Kansas Department of Transportation float took second and J&M Ag Services took third.

In the Derby Car category Melanie McBeth too first followed by The Gathering Community Church and James Nuss who finished third.

The Newton Warrior Cheerleaders won first place in the youth sports team’s category and the Real Newton u8 Girls Soccer Team finished second.
