City looking at spending money on golf course

Sand Creek Golf Course needs new golf carts, bunker repairs and new maintenance equipment. That was the gist of the presentation and conversation at the Newton City Commission work session held Monday night. The commission discussed the idea of allocating a sizable amount to the course to help pay for capital outlay projects. Chris Touhey, who manages the course for Kemper Sports, said the 76
